Tickford Abbey, a Grade 11 listed building built on the site of the medieval Tickford Priory, has been through a bumpy ride in the last few years, leading to a Requires Improvement CQC rating in the January 2018 CQC inspection.

Through consistent hard work and dedication from the staff and management team, the care home was turned around, resulting in a Good CQC rating by March 2019.

Debbie Thunder, home manager at Tickford Abbey, said: “All staff at the care home worked hard and improved residents’ experience, ensuring that the homely feel on which we pride ourselves is restored. We are delighted to be recognised for the work we put in over the past year with this important award.”
