Charity delivers PPE to NHS staff in Milton Keynes

Al-Fikr, a charity that supports both the local and global communities, has been delivering PPE and weekly meals to NHS staff and providing food packages for those most in need in Milton Keynes.
Ahtiah Parveen, the charity's marketing manager, said: "Since the lockdown has started, we’ve now also been able to help our NHS staff, we’ve been delivering thousands of PPE throughout the lockdown and the NHS staff have really appreciated this.

Hide Ad"This Ramadan we were able to feed 2,000 people that are homeless or in poverty within Milton Keynes.
"We have also been able to help the food banks and produce food packages for those that are struggling in Milton Keynes.
"Alongside that we were able to help the NHS weekly with meals and PPE - we were able to give them 2,000 masks and 15,000 gloves.
"As well as this, we were able to help the YMCA and the Milton Keynes Hospice, who are providing one to one support for those isolating.

Hide Ad"We always help at Ramadam but this year we were all working from home or not working, so there was the opportunity to do more to help those in need.
"We wanted to do something to help others, it's great when you can see how what you do and what you give people, really helps them."
Globally, the charity has also provided thousands of meals to those in need.
Ahtiah added: "We were able to provide 150,000 meals to those in need. These includes countries such as Pakistan, India, Tanzania, Yemen, Bangladesh and many more!
