Children in Milton Keynes given daily Lego challenges by Brick Festival organisers

Hundreds of children left disappointed when MK's annual Lego festival was cancelled have been given daily building challenges to cheer them up.

The popular festival was due to take place on March 21 at Staontonbury leisure centre but had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

A new date has now been set for October 17 at Woughton Leisure Centre.

In the meantime, Milton Keynes Brick Festival organisers are giving youngsters a chance to win free tickets through their daily build challenges.

Each morning they announce what has to be built and the youngsters have 24 hours to post a picture of it on the Facebook page. the subjects range from pirate ships to parachutes.

Winners are picked each day and they all receive a free brick festival ticket.

A spokesman said; "We'll be looking for all sorts of builds that catch our attention, whether that's for being colourful, being creative, interpreting the challenge in an unusual way, using LEGO parts in fun ways or just being plain awesome!
