This will be his fourth UK solo tour, each four years apart, following Tooth Fairy in 2007, Spexy Beast (2011) and Yap, Yap, Yap! (2015).

Since that last tour he has tied the knot in a star-studded wedding and, according to the blurb for the show, become an accidental anarchist and a reluctant farmer as well as fearing for his life at border control.

The 'No Again, Alan' tour will start in Dunfermline on September 5 and finish at the Barbican in York on December 19.
