Council launches free V1 parking permits for NHS vaccination centre staff in Milton Keynes

NHS staff working at the new CMK vaccination centre can apply for free permits to avoid parking charges.

The new V1 (Vaccination Permit) is a virtual permit, valid for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and allows free parking in 69 designated bays.

These bays are located between South Eighth Street and South Row, close to the Saxon Court vaccination centre.

Members of the public attending the centre for their Covid jabs must pay their parking charges as usual.

Eligible NHS staff must apply online for their V1 permit. They will need to create an individual account to

get the virtual permit issued which will be linked to their vehicle registration. A letter from their site manager and NHS ID will be required.

Councillor Emily Darlington, Cabinet Member for Public Realm said, “NHS staff are doing a fantastic job every day putting themselves on the front line in the fight against Covid-19. I’m pleased that we can help them by providing free parking for those coming to work at the vaccination centre in CMK.”
