Council urges workers to report employers if they're not sticking to Covid rules in Milton Keynes

New data show the rate Covid infections among working age people, particularly men, is still a problem in MK.

MK Council leader Pete Marland said analysis of official data shows workers' rates of infection in the city are coming down more slowly than the rest of the population.

He said today it is "really important" for people to work from home if they can. If not, their employers should take every precaution to keep safe.

"It might be that some workplaces need to put extra Covid precaution measures in place for people who can't work from home. These could be measure such as staggering start and finish times or making sure employees isolate if they have to."

Pete said workers can report any breaches of Covid regulations in confidence.

"The council offers help so employers can get it right but if people have concerns about where they work they can tell the council confidentially at [email protected]," he said.
