Councillors praise crews after dog rescued from flat fire in Milton Keynes

Liberal Democrat councillors have thanked Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire and Rescue Service following the second-floor flat fire at Oakgrove on Friday.

Ward councillor Kerrie Bradburn said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to the firefighters who responded quickly to a fire in our ward. Thankfully nobody was hurt, although residents are understandably shaken.”

Fellow ward councillor Sam Crooks added: “We’d also like to thank Milton Keynes Council officers and the building’s housing association for their help and support.”

On Friday, MK Citizen revealed how one onlooker was shocked at how fast flames took hold of the flatat Omega House in Gambit Avenue.

The fire service is still investigating the cause of the fire.
