Covid cases are down again today, but one more person dies in Milton Keynes

There have been 24 new Covid cases confirmed over the past 24 hours in MK.

One more person has died, bringing the city's death toll up to 458.

The seven-day case rate, or infection rate, in Milton Keynes has fallen to 71.6 cases per 100,000 people today. This is still higher than the national case rate of 62.2 cases per 100,000

Nationally there have been 5,766 new cases today and Covid-linked deaths were up to 231 from 65 yesterday. . This brings to total toll to 124,797 people who have died withing 28 days o fa positive test.

24 new cases in MK today

Meanwhile 22.59 million people have received their first dose of Covid vaccine and 1.18 million of them have also had a second dose.
