Covid infection rate drops to well below national average in Milton Keynes

Today the city's seven day infection rate plummeted to 20 cases per 100,000 people. This compares to the national average of 25.

Over the past 24 hours just nine people have tested positive in MK and there have been no Covid-linked deaths.

Nationally, 1,712 people have tested positive over the same period and there have been six Covid-linked deaths within 28 days of a positive test.

Throughout the UK, 33,666,638 people have now received the first dose of Covid vaccine and 12,587,116 of these have also had the second dose.
