Covid infections in Milton Keynes rise, with another 33 positive tests today

This makes a total of 139 cases over the past six days.

Today's count brings the total number of new cases in the city to 1,317 since the start of the pandemic.

Anther temporary testing centre opened in Stantonbury yesterday (Wednesday) to cope with the demand.

Nationally there were 17,540 new cases today and 77 deaths.

Throughout the UK, 3,142 patients are currently in hospital with Covid-19 and 442 of them are in ventilator beds.
