Cristina joined Amazon in 2016 as a seasonal worker over the busy Christmas period.

She was looking for a car share to make her commute easier. That's where Aleksandar stepped in as was also looking for a car share.

And as they got to know each other, soon the commute became the most exciting part of their day.

When Cristina’s temporary contract came to an end, Aleksandar knew he could not let her go without asking her on a date. They went for a coffee, then another, and then another.

Cristina fell in love with Aleksandar – and with Amazon – and she applied for a position in the learning and development team.

Two and a half years after their first lift share, Aleksandar asked Cristina to marry him. She said yes, and in October 2019 they became the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy.

Cristina said: “I never imagined a car share could lead to the best thing that’s ever happened to me, I feel so blessed and I can’t wait to marry Aleksandar.”

Aleksandar added: “Working at Amazon has changed my life in the best possible way, I am so grateful it brought us together.”

And, in the lead up to Valentine’s Day, Amazon was so inspired by the lovebird's story, it featured them in a global video which is now being shared worldwide after it was announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The video features an Amazon Scout delivery device and Amazon Robotics device 'falling in love'. While the video jokes about robots falling in love, it goes on to celebrate employees who have actually found love while working in the Amazon operations network.
