A public health spokesman said: "The testing areas will be segregated from all other areas. With an appointment only system, there will not be any queues beyond the site and all efforts have been made to reduce the disturbances to residents.

The site will be open from 8am until 8pm seven days a week for three to six months, depending upon demand.

"Apart from the restricted access to the car park, local people will not be impacted and any disruption to neighbouring properties will be kept to a minimum. There will also be security onsite 24/7," said the spokesman.

If you or anyone in your household have Covid symptoms, you should book a test at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
