A reader has contacted the Citizen after hearing a loud siren in Milton Keynes this morning (Wednesday, April 8).

Dionne Woolford, from West Bletchley, heard the noise at about 9.20am and she says it lasted about 20 minutes.

She said: "There was no power cut this time, it can only be described as wartime warning sirens echoing throughout Milton Keynes.

"The noise went on until 9.40am."
