Did you hear unusually loud alarm after Milton Keynes power cut?

A reader has contacted the Citizen after hearing an unusually loud alarm following a power cut in the town on Wednesday night.

Suzanne, from Shenley Brook End, emailed us to see if any other readers had heard the noise.

She said: "Last night we had a power trip it was after midnight. Just after that there was a very loud alarm going off. I have not heard an alarm like that before.

"Do you gave any idea what it was?

"It went on for a good hour, I could also hear sirens. The alarm was a low long sound like a air raid siren but not high pitched."

She believes the sounds was coming from quite a distance away.
