They have confirmed that Santa WILL be visiting, despite social distancing rules, and he'll be bringing some very well-known friends with him.

The theme is Peter Rabbit, who will be accompanied by other famous Beatrix Potter characters such as Squirrel Nutkin, Mr Tod and Mrs Tiggy-Winkle.

Children will be able to meet all the life-size characters and and even decorate elf biscuits with Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle before meeting Santa himself.

Described as an exciting and immersive theatrical Christmas adventure, the display will open on November 13.

Each family will spend 25 to 30 minutes enjoying the experience, which includes the decorated Christmas Elf biscuit in a gift bag and a quality gift from Santa for each child.

Centre Director Kevin Duffy said: “Christmas really is for the children and we wanted to bring something extra special this year to try and make up for what has been a very difficult year for everybody.

"The team have been planning this for months, scrutinising every aspect to ensure it can be delivered in line with all the government guidance. We are very lucky to have such a huge event space in Middleton Hall, which with the wide airy malls does make it all a little easier to ensure we can deliver that special festive spirit while making sure everyone can visit with confidence.”
