Giant Very Hungry Caterpillar to star at Gulliver's Theme Park in Milton Keynes this summer

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is to be the guest star at Gulliver’s Dinosaur & Farm Park throughout this summer.

The character from the iconic children’s picture book by Eric Carle will be making daily appearances at for socially distanced photo and meet and greet opportunities.

The book, which has sold more than 54 million copies worldwide, tells the story about a hungry caterpillar which emerges from an egg and begins eating everything in sight. He grows into a large caterpillar and builds a cocoon around himself before finally emerging as a beautiful butterfly.

As Covid restrictions ease, there are also plans for exclusive very Hungry Caterpillar themed birthday parties and the addition of Caterpillar Cocoons, which will be created this summer in the wooded area of the resort’s campsite for guests to stay in overnight.

“The colourful and distinctive caterpillar will make fun appearances, greeting fans with its friendly face - all from a safe distance - while giving the opportunities for selfies and smiles. But this is only the start and we have some fantastic plans for birthday parties and accommodation in our camping area which will add a whole extra level of fun to our offering.
