She is one of a string of local crafters exhibiting their wares at a new MK craft fayre called Something Different.

Started by Hendrika van-As, the fayres are held every month at Bletchley Youth Centre in Derwent Drive. The next event is on Saturday September 19, between 1pm and 4pm. Entry is 50p.

Hendrika said: "We know that the leisure and entertainment industry has suffered during the crisis, however small independent and talented people have also been seriously affected. This is why I started Something different craft fayres.

"We really do have some fabulously talented people in and around Milton Keynes and they deserve recognition. Crafters come in all shapes and sizes, all of them bringing something unique to the events."

Exhibitors include Kelly, a jewellery maker who has had alopecia since she was four and uses her brand to inspire others to overcome barriers, and Lesley, a lady who has been creating beautiful fabric sculptures for years.
