The HELP Appeal, which is aiming to raise funds for a life-saving helipad to be built on MK hospital site, has today launched a poster campaign to ensure people stick to lockdown rules.

They have produced a range of posters that use wartime icons and phrases immortalised by Winston Churchill to sum up Covid and lockdown.

Robert Bertram, from the HELP Appeal, said: “We hope to channel the indomitable spirit of the British people during WWII, the inspirational speeches of Winston Churchill and iconic wartime icons such as Rosie the Riveter, to encourage people in the battle against Coronavirus.

"Everyone needs to batten down the hatches for a bit longer to help protect our local hospitals and save lives.”

HELP is run by the County Air Ambulance Trust and is the only charity in the country funding helipads nationally.

In an emergency, when time is of the essence, being able to land an Air Ambulance seconds away from specialist care, is crucial. For many patients, a helipad could represent the difference between life and death.

The HELP Appeal provides funding towards the most appropriate base infrastructure, where and when it’s needed.
