Is this the most caring primary school community in Milton Keynes?

Fairfields Primary, like all schools in MK, has stayed open for keyworkers' children while staff also work hard to teach other pupils remotely.
But the difference is in the incredible support from parents, who regular send in treats for teachers, pay for a round of coffees and write messages of thanks.

One parent, Katie Struwig, started up a fundraising page, urging fellow mums, dads and carers to rally round to ensure the school had all the resources it needed to educate their children.
Within five days the page has raised more than £1,150.
Katie said: "As the entire team at Fairfield’s Primary have been kept more than busy with their normal jobs, adapting to homeschooling, counselling parents and pupils alike, and keeping things as normal as possible for key worker children throughout the last year, they haven’t had the time or resources to fundraise in the ways they normally would."
She added: "That’s where we come in to rally round and help in any little way we can to ensure our kids and wonderful school has access to all the resources they need both now, when homeschooling is all most of us have, and for the future when hopefully we can all return to learning and enjoying the education journey together."

A spokesman for the school said: "Wow! We are blown away by your generosity. Thank you so much. This will make a huge difference to what we can provide for our children."

Staff have also thanked parents and carers for the steady supply of treats. "Thank you for your kind words, the cakes, chocolates, lunches and coffees. It really lifts our spirits and helps us keep going. We thank you from the bottom of hearts for your generosity and support," said the spokesman.
Fairfield Primary is on the Fairfields development in MK's Western Expansion Area. It opened in 2017 for reception to Year 3, and has added a year group each September since, with Year 6 opening in 2020.
Already the school has established a community spirit by running its own foodbank during lockdown.
