Following four new cases confirmed yesterday (Tuesday), the city's total is now 973 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Elsewhere, Hemel Hemstead has seen a surge in cases and now joins neighbouring Northampton, Luton and Bedford on the list of places that have all been of official concern to the government due to the high infection rate.

Nationally there have been 1,508 more positive Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours. There have also been 10 deaths, bringing the nation's total toll up to 41,514.
