Largest ever number of Covid cases recorded in Milton Keynes today

MK's highest ever daily number of new coronavirus cases has been recorded in MK today.

National figures show 65 people in Milton Keynes have tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

This compares to 31 cases yesterday (Monday) and 84 over the weekend.

The total number of cases in MK since the start of the pandemic is now 1,896.

Nationally, the number of new cases has increased and there have been 22,885 over the past 24 hours. Sadly, there were 367 Covid-linked deaths over same period.

Currently 9,199 patients are in hospitals throughout the UK with Covid and 852 of them are in ventilator beds.
