Lottery windfall comes at just the right time for six Milton Keynes neighbours

Six people in Great Linford are celebrating after winning £1,000 each thanks to their postcode.

The Hills Close neighbours netted the windfall when MK14 5DA was announced as a daily prize winner with the People’s Postcode Lottery today (Tuesday, September 8)..

And it couldn't come at a better time as many of us have lost our jobs, been furloughed and face being short of cash during the pandemic.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What lovely news for our winners. Congratulations to them and I hope they enjoy spending their winnings.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery has raised more than £600million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

The draw was promoted on behalf of Clic Sargent which has received more than £10.9million in funding thanks to players. The charity provides vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families during and after treatment.
