M1 reopened between Milton Keynes and Northampton following multi-vehicle collision

The carriageway was closed in the southbound direction between junction 15 at Northampton for the A45 at Roade and junction 14 for Milton Keynes for around three hours following a multi-vehicle collision and vehicle fire.

All emergency services attended and a diversion route was put in place.

National Highways posted on social media that the road was reopened around 2.30pm, and thanked motorists for their patience.
