The Mayor of MK is auctioning off a sheep called Tessa to raise money for his chosen charities.

Councillor Andrew Geary, who is a farmer, vowed to raise cash for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance and the MK Dons Sports and Education Trust during his year of office.

He said: "Given that it’s sheep sale time and that we’ve a consignment of 250 breeding gimmer lambs heading off to Rugby Farmers Auction Mart, we’ve decided to put one up to auction for the two charities.

"We’ve had one lovely Black Texel cross Cheviot Mule gimmer lamb born this year, who’s been a favourite of ours ever since lambing time. She’ll be sold separately to the rest ,with all the proceeds being split between the two charities."
