Milton Keynes Council cancels bin collections due to icy weather

All bin collections for recycling and general waste have been paused by Milton Keynes Council due to the icy weather conditions.

Today, on Monday January 25, MK Council has suspended all collections due to the icy conditions on the road.

The council says it has taken the decision to protect workers, vehicles and other road users.

As a result of the temporary pause, all collections have been pushed back a day.

This means if your waste was due for collection today it will be collected tomorrow (Tuesday) and Friday’s collections will be collected on Saturday 30 January.

A spokesperson for the Milton Keynes Council said: "We are sorry for the inconvenience and we will be making every effort to collect your waste and recycling the very next day."
