The successful applicant will work with hospital's Board and the Council of Governors in the next phase of its development and "in the wider transformation of health and social care", states the job description.

It adds: "Recent months have been an unprecedented time for NHS hospitals across the UK – MKUH included - as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold. We rapidly had to devise very different ways of working to ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors. While it has been necessary for us to operate differently, we have not and will not lose sight of our long-term ambitions and priorities in continuing to maintain safety and to improve our patient care, patient experience, and the range of services we offer.
