Milton Keynes man who built his own hot tub bar shortlisted to win a year's free supply of beer

Pete Simmons is one of 15 finalists in the contest, which is organised by games retailer Liberty Games.

And if he wins, his prize will be free beer for an entire year.

Pete said: “I built the hot tub bar as I was getting hassled by my kids for a hot tub rather than a blow up pool.

"I built it all by myself with any materials I could get hold of at the time of lockdown and the finished product came out as planned - and I’m no carpenter or joiner!"

He said the bar was the perfect place for watching the football now the game is back up and running.

Liberty Games said Brits had been missing being able to go down to the pub, so they wanted to find those people who made lockdown more bearable with their very own home bars.

The competition prompted more than 300 entries from across the UK
