A man with a learning disability has raised more than £300 for charity by setting himself 10 challenges during lockdown

Iain, who is supported by MacIntyre in Milton Keynes, was feeling a little lost with his daily routine disrupted and unable to see his friends.

He set himself the challenges to keep himself from getting bored. They included balancing on a plank for one minute, baking a cake, pedaling for 12 minutes on an exercise bike, ironing five shirts, washing his mum's car and facing his fear of cooking on the BBQ.

A fundraising page was set up for people to make donations as Iain completed each challenge - and he soon surpassed his target of £200.

He plans to donate the money to MacIntyre, who provide learning, support and care for children, young people and adults who have a learning disability and/or autism.

Iain, who has spent lockdown at home with his family, said he was finding his challenges "excellent" and planned to do more.

His mum Liz said: "He's chuffed. This is really giving him a boost and it's something for him to focus on. I'm really proud of him."
