The 78-year-old describes how she has travelled to a string of different countries, married seven different men, been penniless at times and had four "wonderful" children.

But her current husband Roy, who she met at a bus stop, is the love of her life, she says.

The couple are now happily married and living in Bletchley's Simpson Road, where Evita is already busy penning her second book.

Evita was living in South Africa and visiting family in Milton Keynes in 2011 when she met widower Roy.

"I found love at a bus stop," she said. "I was a woman whom had spent several years alone, having been divorced, and was not seeking further companions.

"I was so pleasantly surprised when I met a most wonderful widowed gentleman, living in the same road. He was actually waiting to catch the bus, so as to visit the mall (city centre)."

"I approached him to enquire about the bus times and fares, also asking if he would be kind enough to show me around the mall. He was very accommodating. I thrust my telephone number in his hand and dashed off feeling very embarrassed."

Romantic Roy invited Evita to dinner and played her Pat Boone's Love Letter in the Sand.

Evita returned to South Africa after her stay but Roy vowed to help her return. After sorting out the "hair-raising legalities, Evita came back to the UK and the pair were married the following year.

"I am now a proud British Citizen," she said.

Husband number seven Roy is a "perfect gentleman", and she has no intention of divorcing him.

"The marriage has been absolutely fabulous and he's such a gentleman, he really is".

The book jacket of Evita's True Story states: "Overall, readers will be amazed at the strength of a woman who has always done the best for her family, for the school, and the church, and lived an amazing life."

The book will be available to buy through Amazon.
