Milton Keynes teacher wins national award for number of pupils he's helped get into university
An MK teacher has won a prestigeous award for encouraging young people to consider a university future.
Mr Stuart Hoggard is head of Year 13 at Lord Grey Academy in Bletchley and was nominated for the Bath University Teacher Awards by a student.
He won the 'Paving the Way' award category, which recognises the contributions teachers make in encouraging young people to consider going to uni and the support they provide throughout the application process.
A spokesman for the school said: "Stuart has worked with hundreds of Lord Grey students over the years and by doing so has opened up so many opportunities for our students that might otherwise have been missed. He thoroughly deserves this recognition."
