Milton Keynes Theatre reveals new celebrity star is joining Alexandra Burke, Richard Cadell and Sooty in 2026 panto
Another celebrity has been added to the cast for Milton Keynes Theatre’s 2026 pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Milton Keynes Theatre has revealed that pantomime legend Christopher Biggins will play The Diva of Dreams in this year’s production of Sleeping Beauty, running from Saturday, December 5 2026 to Sunday, January 10 2027. As previously announced, the show will also star chart-topping superstar Alexandra Burke, TV and theatre star Richard Cadell with his lovable friends Sooty and Sweep, and cabaret artist Ceri Dupree.
Christopher Biggins has graced our screens for over thirty years as an actor, humourist, writer and national treasure. A familiar face across BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, Christopher has appeared in multiple TV shows over the years, including iconic roles in I, Claudius and Poldark, and winning ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! - where he was crowned King of the Jungle.
Christopher Biggins said: “For more than 60 incredible years, pantomime has filled me with pure joy, and the excitement of stepping on stage still feels just as thrilling as it did the very first time.

“This year, I’m especially excited to be taking on a brand new role as The Diva of Dreams, and I simply can’t wait to share the magic with Milton Keynes audiences”
Christopher’s career has spanned theatre, television and film. But he is best loved for his annual panto tradition, where his legendary dame performances have entertained families across the country for years.
Emma Sullivan, Theatre Director at Milton Keynes Theatre, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome the one and only Christopher Biggins to Milton Keynes for Sleeping Beauty.
“Christopher is a true national treasure and one of the greatest pantomime stars of all time. Alongside our fantastic cast, he will make this year’s panto an unmissable festive treat for audiences across Milton Keynes.”
Audiences can expect a magical adventure full of laugh-out-loud comedy, surprises and festive joy, perfect for all the family.
