Over the weekend, between Friday and Saturday, around a dozen graves at Selbourne Avenue cemetery in Bletchley were attacked.

Flowers and plants were ripped out of pots and trampled on the path, while precious mementoes and gifts were thrown across the council-run site.

"It's a horrible thing to do and people are so upset about it," said Bletchley resident Mick Larking, whose son Ricky is buried in the cemetery.

"You can see where the little scrotes have walked down the main path and thrown everything about, tipping flowers out of the vases and ripping stuff off of the graves. It's a right mess."

The graves in that area are all particularly well tended, and relatives all visit regularly to lay flowers or gifts, said Mr Larking.

"We've visited Ricky's grave every week since we lost him two years ago. We wouldn't miss it for the world," he said.

He and other families now plan to ask MK Council to lock the cemetery gates at night to prevent further vandalism.

"Local youths gather there at night. We know they do we we find empty beer cans under the hedge. Last time we were there, we counted 13 cans," he said.

"They shouldn't be allowed. A cemetery is not the place for them to meet."

The MK Citizen has passed details of the latest attack on to Labour ward councillors to ask if they can do anything to help.
