New store showcasing local sellers opens in Milton Keynes shopping centre today

A 'Love Local' hub has opened today at the centre:mk to provide an Aladdin's cave of Christmas gift ideas.

The Sunset Walk store is described as an 'instagramable wonderland' of creations from local businesses, artists and entrepreneurs of all ages.

There will be a range of attractions, including live mermaid events, a selfie station pink phonebox and DIY paint by numbers cookies.

New brands can rent space within the store cheaply, without the usual overheads, and are supported by Love Local Hub in all aspects of their business, from marketing to accounting.

Family owned and created by local entrepreneur and business owner, Samantha Poole, the Hub has a its own Facebook and Instagram pages.

Samantha said: “I have dreamed of opening a Love Local Hub physical space for the last two years and am thrilled to announce we will be launching in centre:mk, one of the UK’s top 10 shopping centres. With the Love Local Hub three-step process from shelf, to space, to shop, we will not only be helping local geniuses, artists, communities and businesses, but also supporting the economy by filling empty units, creating employment, education and independence.”
