5. Caldecotte Lake
Caldecotte Lake is known to locals for its beautiful scenery, great running and walking trails and nearby pub - with the added sporting additions of abseiling, archery to water zorbing and wind surfing.
6. Woburn Abbey Deer Park
The deer park describes itself as a conservation area giving “sanctuary” to nine different species. The species was saved from extinction when it was introduced to Woburn Park in 1985.
7. Bradwell Windmill
The windmill was erected in about 1817 on the banks of the Grand Union canal and is thought to be the second windmill built in Bradwell village. According to The Spooky Isles, the mill is haunted by the daughter of a local miller. Photo: Shutterstock
