This is the highest number so far this week, but overall the city's infection rate is still dropping compared to the last four weeks.

The total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic now stands at 3,924.

There have been no new Covid-linked deaths recorded over the past 24 hours at at MK hospital, where the total toll stands at 148.

Nationally 16,170 people have tested positive today, an increase from 13,430 yesterday. Covid deaths have also increased from 205 on Monday, to 603 yesterday, to 648 today.

Lockdown officially ended at midnight last night, when MK entered into tier 2 restrictions.

Many pubs, shops, gyms and leisure attractions are now open but mixing with other households is forbidden indoors unless people form part of a support bubble. Outdoors, the rule of six still applies.
