As part of the agreement, Taylor Wimpey will make contributions to education, healthcare, transport and arts initiatives as well as providing a new community hub with leisure facilities.

Fiona Lloyd, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, said: “We are delighted to receive the go-ahead from the local authority and hope to start work in the coming months.

"As ever when building new homes, creating a community that our buyers feel connected to is very important and so we hope to not only provide quality homes, but also to ensure that we are giving something back to the local communities in which we build.
