Den Leacock, known as DJ Leedos, performs at night spots all over MK, London, Birmingham and Northampton.

"I decided I wanted to find a way to continue my connections with my loyal followers, but also do whatever I could to bring communities together whilst the world was in lockdown," he said.

"We pooled our extensive knowledge of music entertainment and our underlying ethos of supporting communities," he said. "We have worked hard to make hot97uk a station that brings communities, families and friends together, we promote support websites, Facebook pages and home start up businesses."

The lockdown radio station plays a wide range of music genres including "R n B" reggae, 80's and 90's pop and Hip Hop. Our fabulous listeners tune in from countries such as Dubai, Greece, Barbados and Israel!

"We actively promote our listeners to help us choose the music they want to hear," said Den. "Our website www.hot97uk.com allows listeners to see us perform live, send messages and email us. Future plans will be to have our listeners interact with each other on the website."

He has already had a number of male and female DJs applying from all over the UK to join the station, which is keen to promote new acts.

"I just want our station to bring people together, play great music, and cheer up the nation. We are here for you," said Den.
