Mr Goldney, who is described as "a gentle giant and a true gentleman", joined the NHS team at HMP Woodhill in 2007. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, he worked for many years within the healthcare department.
"Craig was an extremely popular member of the healthcare team with his colleagues and prison staff and he was well respected and liked by his patients. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him." said the spokesman.
He said Craig died last Thursday, January 21, after a hard fought battle with Covid. He is survived by his wife, Becca, and three sons, Jacob, Ben and Ethan.
"We have started this page to raise funds to help his family at this difficult time," said the spokesman.
