Primark poised to re-open with extended hours to avoid queues in Milton Keynes

Primark stores in MK are to extend their opening hours to cope with anticipated high customer demand when they re-open next week.

The two MK stores are both ready and waiting to open their doors to shopper again next Monday.

For the first week initially, they will open for two extra hours per day on average. This will be an hour earlierin the day and an hour later in the evening.

Safety will be a top priority and there will be extensive measures in place, say store bosses.

The new Spring/Summer collections in womenswear will include relaxed tailoring looks in gelato-inspired tones, denim in candy pastels and bold gingham prints.

And there will also be a new 'Primark Cares featuring Disney' range, made with sustainable cotton and recycled materials.

Primark CEO, Paul Marchant, said: “It’s great to be back. Our stores are fully stocked with fresh new season fashion, all at Primark’s famous amazing prices. Between our great value, everyday must-haves and hot new season trend collections, we’ve got everything our customers have been waiting for."

He added: "Safety remains at the front of our minds. We have extended opening hours across almost all of our stores to help meet demand safely but we’re also asking our customers to keep up the support and spirit they showed last year, particularly if queuing outside or in-store.”
