It is the brainchild of school site manager James Tully, who has realised his lifetime’s dream after splashing out around £1,500 on a home studio.

And it’s a real family affair for James, 45, who also has a long running soul show on London’s Solar Radio.

Wife Alison has her own ‘jazzy vibe’ broadcast, while daughter Emily, 15, belts out modern tunes. Other DJs include John Brandom, Chris Wise and Steve Kelley.

James also has an interview lined up with famous author Sarah Pinbororugh, who lives in Stony.

The radio station will work in partnership with community magazine Essentially Local to support small businesses.

“This is something that Stony has been crying out for, as it is such a hip, trendy place,” said James, who lives in York Road.

“I had been looking to do my own show for a long time, but when Covid-19 struck and people were stuck at home, everything seemed to fall into place at the right time.

“My plan is to keep growing and have many more DJs doing shows. The more people I can get involved the better. I just want to do something good for the area.”
