RSPCA branch in Milton Keynes needs help to feed rescue animals that can no longer be rehomed

MK's RSPCA branch has put out an appeal for help to feed the dozens of animals it has been banned from rehoming due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This week the charity was forced to close completely to the public until further notice and cannot accept any stray or unwanted animals from people.

But it is still looking after existing animals in its care, plus new emergency sick or neglected cases brought in by its animal rescue teams.

The branch, which is financially self-sufficient and receives no national funding, has also been forced to close,all its charity shops in MK because it is too risky to accept donated goods.

This means a crucial source of income to pay for food and vets bills has dried up.

An Amazon wish list has been drawn up of items desperately needed, and the branch is hoping animal lovers will rise to the challenge.

The list includes cat food, rabbit and guinea pig food and toys and puppy pads. Prices start from as little as a couple of pounds.
