Second week of lockdown sees highest ever number of Covid cases in Milton Keynes today

Another 89 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in MK over the past 24 hours.

This is the highest ever daily figure and brings the total to 2,730 cases since the start of the pandemic.

Nationally, today saw one of the highest numbers ever for new cases, with 33,730 people testing positive over the past 24 hours.

Over the same time period, 595 people have died across the UK.
