Sources say all seven of the lads have this week tested positive for Covid-19.

"I'm not usually one to grass, but I'm sick of selfish people like this and I want to see fines exacted from them," said one source for the group.

Spain was re-added to the UK’s quarantine list at the end July, meaning anybody who goes there will have to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is advising against all but essential travel to Spain, which means people cannot get travel insurance.

The young men, said to be aged between 18 and 25, returned last week.

On Sunday they visited at least two of their local pubs on MK

"They have today ALL tested positive for coronavirus," said a source yesterday (Tuesday).

The Citizen has spoken to both pubs and it is understood the lads sat outside in the gardens, which are not covered by the NHS Test and Trace system.

"We have every precaution in place to keep customers safe. The tables in the garden are three metres apart. Inside we have screens, social distancing measures and all our staff are trained to make sure people stick to the rules," said one of the landlords.

"But it was still very irresponsible of this group to do this," he added.

Because of delays in the way in which the government collects data about new Covid cases, the seven positives may take some time to show in the daily testing figures released for Milton Keynes.
