A signwriter who can't spell has made drivers smile in Milton Keynes

Two signs with a glaring spelling error and no punctuation have caused some raised eyebrows in MK this week.

The signs are on the A421, near the Bottledump roundabout, and they warn motorists of the current roadworks and diversion in place.

One driver said: "There are a few signs in MK that bring the sign makers' understanding of English grammar into question.

"I had to share this latest one as it highlights a magnificent ignorance as regards spelling! I thought it would be something to make readers smile."

There are two identical signs, one facing east and the other facing west.
