Six Milton Keynes restaurants among semi-finalists for British Kebab Awards - and they need your votes

Around 500 independent takeaways and restaurants across the country have reached the semi-finals across the 22 award categories, including five in Milton Keynes.

Semi-finalists now have until October 15 to campaign for public votes, with the businesses that receive the highest number of eligible public votes in their respective categories reaching the finals.

Mangal Plus, based at Stratford Road in Wolverton, has been nominated in the Best Delivery category.

Eating Greek MK, based on Church Street in Wolverton, has been shortlisted in the Best Greek Restaurant or Takeaway category.

There are two Milton Keynes nominations in the Best Takeaway in the south of England category - Mniam Mniam Kebab on Watling Street and Sunats Kebab at Queensway in Bletchley.

There are also two Milton Keynes nominations in the Fine Dining Restaurant category - DeRoka Restaurants based at The Hub and DeRoka’s Mediterranean restaurant at Holkham Walk.

The awards are now in their 15th year and celebrate the contribution that the UK kebab industry makes to the national economy.

Founder of the British Kebab Awards Ibrahim Doğuş said: “For 15 years, the British Kebab Awards have celebrated the hard-working families, entrepreneurs and employees behind one of Britain’s favourite dishes.

“These are people who have built successful businesses, created jobs and become an important part of the communities they serve.

“Being named a semi-finalist is a significant achievement. Each business now has until 15 October to tell its story, engage with its customers and community, and secure as many public votes as possible.

“This milestone year is our biggest and most ambitious yet.

“I congratulate every semi-finalist and wish them the very best with their campaigns. We look forward to revealing the finalists on 15 October and celebrating the achievements of this remarkable industry at our gala ceremony in February.”

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony which is being staged at the Park Plaza Hotel in London on Tuesday February 23, 2027, with 1,200 guests expected to attend.
