The practice's principal dentist, Dr Kaival Patel said: “As owners, we found it so hard to live life at 100mph and then have everything screech to a halt.

"The Sky TV advert has given us a project when we need it the most. We can get our teeth stuck in to something we would have never envisaged even looking into. A television advert for a small, family-run, family- orientated business - that just doesn't happen. Not to us.”

David Sanderson, director of AdSmart Local and Development at Sky Media. said: “Businesses up and down the country are facing some of the hardest

trading conditions in recent memory. This initiative is about giving businesses confidence in advertising and their ability to succeed no matter the situation.”

Dr Patel said the hardest part of the closure was seeing patients suffer whilst being locked down. His team adapted to a "new age" of dentistry, starting with video consultations, and also spent time renovating their Edwardian building.,

They are now busy planning their advert, which will run in July.

“We are ever so grateful to Sky AdSmart for giving us the opportunity,” said Dr Patel. “We hope we don't let our patients down when creating something. But please rest-assured, we will be back at our day job before you know it, doing what we do best - making people smile.”
