Small terrier dog sadly dies after being attacked by Rottweiler on the loose in Milton Keynes
A dog owner has been left heartbroken after her little dog died following a Rottweiler attack this morning.
Social media users have spent the day warning people to take care after two or three large Rotties were roaming the Wolverton and Stony Stratford area - see our earlier story here.
Two small dogs, both Jack Russell terriers, were attacked his morning and one of them was left fighting for his life.
Sadly, he has lost his battle and passed away a short while ago.
The owner's daughter posted: "Thank you for everyone’s concern regarding my mums little dog who was attacked by a Rottweiler on Greenleys this morning. I’m absolutely devastated to say he has passed away."
She added: "Thank you to Jo and Mark who stopped to help, Nicky for rushing them to the vets, and MK Vet group for trying to save him. Mum is heartbroken."
Residents say police have today been out hunting for the dog, which is thought to be one of a pack of three running loose around the area. It is not yet know whether they have been found.
The second Jack Russell, attacked at a different time and location, has spent the day at the vets and his wounds have been stitched. He is expected to survive.
