Callum Ryan moved into MyHouseLDN this week and his progress will be charted on Instagram.

The house opened early this month in a secret location and is modelled on the TikTok stars’ Hype House in the US.

Callum was selected out of hundreds of budding social media content-creators to join the household.

In January the 19-year-old set out to prove the sometimes dubious power of social media by setting up an elaborate ruse that he had been chosen to take part in the Love Island programme.

He and a pal created photoshopped pictures and content as though Callum was going into the famous villa.

Their aim was to prove people are so drawn into social media and fake lifestyles that they will believe anything was true. He also wanted to show how the public could idolise somebody on social media one minute and then send them hate mail the next.

Incredibly, the stunt managed to rack up more than 3.5 million views on Callum's TikTok and gained nearly 100,000 followers.

Through his social media, Callum 'went into' Love Island with more followers than any of the contestants – while all the time sitting at home in Milton Keynes.

But now his MyHouse appearance is genuine and will be charted on the @MYHouseLDN Instgram account as well as Callum's @thatonecal.

The house is made up of "ambitious, cool dressers and content creators/influencers" that spend their days keeping their followers happy with all kinds of content.

Callum, who has almost 40,000 followers in Instagram, said: “This is a dream come true and a great opportunity to really do what I love doing in a house full of like-minded people. I’m so looking forward to becoming part of this new ‘family’.

"We all have different qualities so it’s going to be a lot of fun working with these guys. I’m going to miss my real family of course, but they will be able to see what I’m getting up too every day by keeping an eye on my socials. I'm so excited!"
