Tea towel left on cooker sparks kitchen fire in Milton Keynes
Firefighters were called to home in Milton Keynes after a tea towel left on a kitchen hob caught fire this morning (Wednesday).
No-one was in the Wavedon Gate flat at the time but a neighbour alerted the fire service after hearing the smoke alarm.
Firefighters used a hose reel and a fan to put out the fire and isolated the electricity to the cooker.
