Three more Covid deaths recorded in Milton Keynes today

The number of new Covid cases has dropped in MK today but sadly three more deaths have been reported.

Government figures show there here were 34 new positive tests over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 18,888 since the start of the pandemic.

The total number of Covid-linked deaths in MK is now 443.

The number of Covid patients in MK hospital is currently 98 and three of these are on ventilators.

Milton Keynes' seven-day case rate now stands at 131.4 cases per 100,000 people. This compares to the national case rate of 119 cases per 100,000 of the population.

Nationally 8,489 people tested positive today and 548 deaths were recorded. More than 17.9 million people have now had the first dose of vaccine.
